Including the areas of Val di Sogno, Brenzone, Torri del Benaco, Porto and Castelletto, this area is immediately North of Garda Town and is a very scenic and picturesque part of Lake Garda, characterised by a series of small attractive towns on the lakeside, ideal for a base for a quiet holiday or visiting other parts of the Lake. Ideal for couples however families may find it a little quiet, and may wish to consider some of the larger towns on the Lake such as Lazise, Salo, Sirmione or Bardolino which have more to keep children entertained.
However in terms of lazing in the sun, these areas offer some rather nice beaches on the shores of Lake Garda with magnificient view of the lake as well as some excellent restaurants, pizzerias and bars alongside the many picturesque harbours and lakeside retreats. The bandstand restaurant at Torri del Benaco is a famous Garda Lake landmark.
