With the longest lakeside promenade on Lake Garda, Salo is just overflowing with little squares, bars, shops and cafes.  The lakeside is largely pedestrianised too so you can enjoy the whole of the lakefront promenade.  The lakefront being made even more attractive by the array of yachts moored on their landing stages.

Elegance is often an overused term, but Salo does have an old world elegance which is typically Italian and has to be seen to be appreciated.  It also has some of the most wonderful natural light, which emphasises the lovely contrasting colours of the buildings.  Salo is also a great place to dine or for a shopping excursion shopping with some very cool designer clothes on offer at a number of very nice, but not overpriced shops.  There is a Saturday market which is well worth visiting.
