Two double bedrooms, one with an extra single bed and a double sofabed.
Resort
Situated between Peschiera and Sirmione on the South of Lake Garda. The apartment is a short walk from the Gardesana Road and also the nearest restaurant, but overall a car would be recommended.
Location
Sirmione is one of the "Not to be missed" towns on the lake, along with Bardolino, Garda, Malcesine, Lazise, Salo and Gardone, Sirmione is truly one of the most wonderful experiences Lake Garda has to offer.
It is almost an island as the historic centre is situated at the very end of a 2km long peninsula which juts out from the centre of the Southern shore of the lake. There are three areas, the historic centre, which has endless places to explore and excellent shopping and dining, plus some interesting hotels which can be found on our hotels page. The historic centre also has its own Roman Villa in an amazingly scenic part of the peninsula and well worth a visit. Colombare di Sirmione, where Villa Ruggeri is located is at the base of the peninsula, where the peninsula meets the mainland which also has many shops, restaurants, hotels and bars. Colombare is probably a more convenient place to stay than the historic centre if you want to tour the other towns around the lake.
Peschiera is also a very nice town its shops, restaurants and bars the outlet for the River Mincio.
Nearby Attractions
Sirmione has two thermal Spa's one in the historic centre Terme di Catullo and one at Lugana di Sirmione. There are numerous shops restaurants, bars, pizzerias and several clubs all across Sirmione and there is no shortage of places to eat and drink. Sirmione also has the remains of the Roman Villa Catullo which has some amazing views of the lake as well as being of real interest to historians or simply people who are interested. Lugana di Sirmione also has some excellent outlet shopping at the East end plus Al Cavallo Restaurant at Lugana is excellent and highly recommended (it has a large white horse outside)
Nearby is the large town of Desenzano with good nightlife for young people at weekends and also Peschiera with some breathtaking views of the lake. The themeparks of Gardaland, Movie Studios Park and Aqua Paradise Park are about a 15 minute drive away although the themeparks do run complimentary buses. All are worth visiting. There is also a waterpark on the River Mincio at Peschiera and the Parco Sigurta which is billed as being one of the most beautiful gardens in the world.
A little further away is Verona which is about 35 minutes by car plus Milan or Venice are about 2 hours by car, West and East respectively.
Sirmione is also in a great position to be able to visit any of the other interesting towns on the lake either by car or ferry, although there is a great deal to see and do in Sirmione itself.
