Theme Park Information
Lake Garda is known for its natural beauty, architecture, good food and culture. What it is less known for is having a number of excellent themeparks tucked away between Lazise and Peschiera on the South East shore of the Lake. These are:-
Gardaland, which is Italy's largest themepark
Movie Studios Park (also known as Caneva World), which is a combination of rides, shows and stunts
Aqua Paradise Park, which is a very nice waterpark
All are close to each other next to the town of Pacengo. The nearest towns being Lazise, Pacengo, Cola, Peschiera and Sirmione.
The parks are open from Easter until Halloween and run complimentary buses around the lake from all of the major towns to the parks. All are worth visiting.
Not a themepark as such, but there is also an excellent Zoo at Pastrengo, which is a combination of a safari drive and a traditional zoo, except that some of the smaller animals are allowed to run free in the park. Best to go during the week as the Zoo does get very busy at weekends, but is a lovely experience, plus there is Benacus Free Time, Aquapark Alto Mincio and The Jungle Adventure.
The themeparks of Gardaland, Movie Studios Park and Aqua Paradise Park are close to apartments and hotels in the towns of Lazise, Pacengo, Cola, Peschiera and within easy travelling distance of Garda, Sirmione and Desenzano.
