Lake Garda Hotels at Peschiera del Garda

Peschiera is in the South East corner of Lake Garda and is a former Military town and is where some of the most dramatic views of the lake can be found.  Peschiera is also at the mouth of the River Mincio which leads to the Mediterranean Sea. 

It is an interesting 16th Century walled town, built by the Venetians.  Today Peschiera just looks nice especially the whole rivermouth area and promenade with its selections of yachts, boats and even a floating restaurant.   The whole promenade area has a seaside feel to it with lots of cafes, restaurants and ice cream parlours. 

Although not a large town, there are a good selection of shops down the narrow streets of Peschiera and it is also the main railway station for the South East of the Lake.

Close to Peschiera is Sigurta Gardens one of the most beautiful in Italy,

Peschiera del Garda is a very nice place to stay and use as a base to visit any of the other areas of Lake Garda and is especially handy for , Movieland, Aqua Paradise Park, Sirmione and Verona.  It is also one of the main exits from the A4 Milano-Venezia motorway.
